Who I Am

Thanks for visiting my blog!

Me in Disney World 2010

I'm Megan, a twentysomething Michigander keen on avoiding the real world, just taking my time trying to "find myself."  I've always been a big dreamer, but I didn't catch the travel bug until 2008 when I studied in Angers, France for a semester during college.  I graduated with a B.A. in French, minor in International Relations.  Basically, I have no real idea what I want to do with my life, but I love French and traveling.

Although I've spent the past few years hopping around the US, I haven't had the chance to go abroad since 2008.  As with an uncomfortably high percentage of college grads, I moved back home with my parents after receiving my diploma (except for a 6 month habitation in Corvallis, Oregon).  While it's been challenging at times, I have learned a great deal about myself by taking a step back and evaluating my life.

Now, I'm in a very exciting stage in life while I prepare to go to Martinique to be an English Teaching Assistant.  I'm experiencing a wide range of emotions, expecting more to come as time goes by.  This blog is going to be my tool to share my adventures with friends, family, and anyone who is interested.  I love getting feedback, so please feel free to contact me on my blog or by email:

Thanks, and enjoy!
